Background

Born in Dunedin Rosemary had the benefit of a musical schooling at the King Edward Technical College with Sir Frank Callaway. After graduating from the University of Otago she studied piano, composition and accompanying at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Since 1969 she has lived and worked in Christchurch as a pianist and teacher, teaching classes at the University. In 1993 she composed "Votes for Women" celebrating the centenary of Women's Suffrage in NZ. She is a Fellow of the IRMT, a Council member, and an international examiner for the ABRSM.
