Gaining exposure for "other" Baroque Composers
Melchior Frank 1579-1639
Martin Setchell is in the course of transcribing and editing music by this neglected master of the late Renaissance and early Baroque, who is considered by many experts to have been the equal of his more famous contemporaries Schutz, Scheidt, Schein and Praetorius. Martin Setchell has just published his edition of Franck's magnum opus, the two volume collection of motets entitled Paradisus Musicus, as Volume 106 of Recent Researches of the Baroque era (A-R Editions, Inc, Madison. Wisconsin).
